A great Olympic partnership has begun! 49er FX sailing duo Mikaela Wulff and Noora Ruskola, who are aiming for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games, will be sponsored by Wulff for the next three years on their road to Tokyo. 49er is a competitive class for two-handed skiff-type high-performance sailing dinghies where Finnish duo Thomas Johansson and Jyrki Järvi had success in the Sydney Olympics with their gold medal.
The women’s FX class debuted in the Rio 2016 Olympics and Ruskola & Wulff have an ambitious goal: success. “We have sailed together for over a year now and our partnership works well. We have the same values and attitude towards life which helps when you have to spend a lot of time with each other and work closely together. We are also on the same wave length when it comes to our communication. Good communication is really important when you are at sea and if you want to achieve your goals, “ the duo explains.
For us at Wulff, it is great to be able to support and sponsor exuberant, goal-oriented athletes who also believe in doing good and winning. To succeed in the speedy sport, you need to aim for extraordinary performance. As this duo does.

P.S. And yes, Mikaela’s last name is the same as our company’s because Wulff’s founder Thomas Wulff was Mikaela’s great-great grandfather’s brother.
